～Curacao Diary キュラソー島日記～
I have never heard of Curacao until I have met Henri-Philippe Gares.
実はヘンリーに出会う前、一昨年まで、カリブ海のキュラソー島の存在を知りませんでした。
When he was talking about Curacao in Carribean, I could not remember the name of the island, so I always remember "Henri in the Carribean" instead of Curacao.
ヘンリーがキュラソー島の話をしてるときも、島の名前が覚えにくいから、「ああ、カリブのヘンリーさんね！」と言ってました（笑）
So I assume that many people do not know about Curacao, just like me 2 years ago.
なので、恐らくたくさんの人は、キュラソー島の存在を知らないのでは、と思っています。2年前の私のように。
So I would like to introduce you about Curacao and what's going on here, my 5th home besides Tokyo in Japan, Izmir in Turkey, New York and Florida in USA.
ということで、私の第五の故郷になったキュラソー島の様子や出来事を、ご紹介していきたいと思います。（第一～第四の故郷は、東京、トルコのイズミール、ニューヨーク、フロリダです）
Today is about Aloe and Ostrich. Those are famous attraction in Curacao.
Aloe Plantation and Ostrich farm. And actually, this weekend we will visit there.

今日は、アロエ農園とオーストリッチ養育場がキュラソー島の有名な観光スポットである、ということだけご紹介いたします。

The name of Curacao actually came from the liqueur.
A liqueur flavored with the dried peel of the laraha citrus fruit, grown on the island of Curaçao. A non-native plant similar to an orange, the laraha developed from the sweet Valencia orange transplanted by Spanish explorers.
キュラソーという名前は、お酒のリキュールの名前から来ています。
キュラソー島で栽培されているバレンシアオレンジに似た柑橘系のララハと呼ばれる果物の、果皮のみを利用してリキュールを作っています。ララハという果物は、外来種でスペインが運んで来たバレンシアオレンジを元に栽培されました。
