『キュラソー島の将来と石油精製所』
島の経済の約３割は島内の石油精製所に依存する。（現在はベネズエラの会社により運営）
精製所が2019年以降も存続するかは分からない。
多くのキュラソー島の住民は、工場閉鎖という不測の事態に備える。
工場閉鎖後も）家族を養えるよう、斬新なやり方で収入を生み出し続ける方法を編み出す。世界中で似たような問題が起きている。世界中で生産の分散化により、職種は減少している。
雇用状況はより厳しくなり、生活水準を落とさざるを得ない。
貧富の格差は世界規模で拡大する。
政府、年金制度、福利厚生や公的年金は世界規模で崩壊しつつある。
(世界中で)不安を煽るようなニュースが放映されている。
私たちは今、新時代へと突入しているのだ。
２０世紀に見られた大企業の時代は終わりを告げ、個々人やチームによって、インターネットを駆使した仕事や、ネットワークビジネスなどの新しいビジネスの形態に移行している。
カリブ海の経済大国として、キュラソー島の住民は、未来の課題に直面する準備をしているのか。
キュラソー島では、インターネットの法整備や、地理的な立地を生かし、インターネットビジネスや、ネットワークビジネスへの参加者は急増中である。
ビジネスマンだけでなく、専業主婦や、病気がちな高齢者、失業中の若者、高校中退者など、様々な人が参加する。このタイプのビジネスは、年齢や人種、言語や過去の職歴で差別を受けたり、拒絶されることもない。

４ヶ国語が公用語であるキュラソー島は、欧米、中南米との繋がりが深い。
多くの国際ビジネスの拠点であり、世界中から絶えず人の往来がある。
恵まれた立地のため、グローバルなビジネスをしたい人にはチャンスに事欠かない。小さな島に居ながら、インターネットによる海外とのビジネス展開が可能だ。
この新たなビジネス形態の波は、間もなく、カリブ海から太平洋に達する。
海は世界中繋がっているので、今後世界のビジネスを変貌させていくであろう。

"Oil refinery and Curacao's future direction"
A large percentage of Curacao’s economy is depending from the local oil refinery (currently operated by the Venezuelan PEDEVESA).
It is now unsure whether they will continue to operate a refinery on the island or not after 2019. Many Curacao individuals are now preparing the worst, in case the operations come to end at the end of this decade. They are building new revenue streams that will keep generating residual incomes beyond the refinery’s closing ensuring the support of their families through innovative ways.
This situation is not only an issue in Curacao. In many places in the world jobs numbers are decreasing due to automation, delocalizing production, etc. The general pressure in the job market is forcing the individual to lower standard of living. The gap between rich and poor is increasing worldwide.
Governments, pension funds, welfare and social security are collapsing worldwide. Worrying news are to be found in the news in all countries. We are entering a new era; a shift from the rule of the mega corporations (typical of the 20th century) to individuals, working alone or in teams making use of internet and often of new business models such as network business.
As a business leading country in the Caribbean, how is Curacao preparing to face future challenges?
Using its internet legal framework and strategic geographic location, people are now pushing in the direction of internet business and network marketing business. Not only professionals, but a broad mix of people, including stay home mothers, sick elderly, jobless youth, high-school dropouts.... This type of business does not discriminate nor disqualify people by their age, nationality, language, and job history. So far, people are grateful and loving to work with internet and network marketing businesses on the island.
As 4 language speaking country, Curacao is well connected with Europe, USA, and Middle and South America. Curacao is home to many international businesses and there is a constant flow of people from the four corners of the world coming and going. This demographic situation constantly brings great opportunities for anyone wanting to work globally. By using internet, the fact that Curacao is a small island does not stop businesses from expanding activities beyond the sea shore.
Soon the big wave of new this business style will reach the Pacific Ocean from the Caribbean Sea, and since the Oceans are all connected, it will become the influence businesses worldwide.
